About me.
I’m Nadia McSheffrey – proud mum to B (my wonderfully wild child), wife, daughter, friend, school governor, volunteer and the founder of Clean Slate Emporium. You know how it goes; we're all wearing multiple hats...the list could go on and on. I'm in my 40s and I love skiing, live music, being a football mum (who would have thought?!), travelling, yoga, sea-dipping, true crime, cheese and fashion.
Born and bred in the North East of England, I’ve always had a thing for planning, order and a dash of style – qualities that helped me thrive in my previous careers as a solicitor and teacher and that now shape everything I do. I perfected the art of juggling deadlines, managing chaos and making sure nothing ever slipped through the cracks. It was all about structure, organisation and staying cool under pressure – things that are essential when you're navigating the beautiful chaos of motherhood.
Becoming a mother in 2014 changed everything. It made me realise that being organised isn’t just beneficial; it’s the key to maintaining your sanity in a world that constantly feels like it's on fast forward. It also taught me that motherhood – THE most rewarding job in the world – is simultaneously the most challenging one too. B changed everything for me, including my perspective on life. In my role as a coach with The Tranquil Treehouse, I help families navigate this journey with calm, connection and intention. My coaching ethos is simple: children need our unconditional love and unwavering support as they navigate the world, but they also need the freedom to grow and develop their authentic self.
Clean Slate Emporium: A Fresh Start Every Day
In my work with families, I saw a real need for tools that helped mums get a grip on the chaos, without sacrificing style or sanity. I was asked frequently about producing a physical product to support their journey. That’s why I founded the brand, Clean Slate Emporium: to give mothers the chance to wipe the slate clean, every day. I want you to leave yesterday's guilt and stress behind and step into a new day with a fresh start, ready to embrace whatever comes next with clarity and contentment. Every day is an opportunity to reset, refocus and move forward with intention. Our brand isn’t about striving for perfection; it’s about presence. It’s about recognising the positives while also acknowledging the realities of life. It’s understanding how much we can juggle without tipping into burnout. And that’s how The Motherlode Planner came to life. After five years of refining, designing and obsessing over every detail, I’m proud to say it’s the ultimate planner for busy mums!
